"As a first-time mom, I quickly found myself drowning in overwhelm with the barrage of unsolicited advice and maternity how-tos and checklists.
What Katy provided was a one-stop resource with practical, organized, and reliable education to support my pregnancy journey.
I felt supported, prepared, and empowered to create a nourishing environment for my baby, a support system and boundaries to care for my mental health, and I had tactical steps to take through postpartum.
I couldn't be more grateful to Katy and would recommend her to any first-time moms!"
What's Inside The Nested Blueprint
Our grandmothers talk about the newborn stage like it's this glowing time. "Cherish every second," we're told. But how are we supposed to enjoy every moment when our bodies are going through a massive shift unlike anything we've ever experienced?
That's why it pays to follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before you. In this section, I combine my personal experience with that of thousands of other moms--plus tons of research & expert advice--to help you create a playbook that will support you through recovery after birth.
Module 1 Highlights
It's okay to ask for help! In fact, it's essential. We always hear "It takes a village," but where are the villages? Most of us don't live in them anymore. The The notion that it takes a village comes from a bygone time when we lived more communally, more multi-generationally, and less hurriedly.
So how do we get support in present-day life? By developing realistic expectations of our own abilities & working within our own circumstances to create supportive networks. There's no one-size-fits-all.
Module 2 Highlights
When the nesting phase hits, most of us want to organize, but where do you even start? It's time to ditch the overwhelm and learn tried-and-true organizational systems with a proven track record for making new parents' lives easier.
We'll start by looking at your living space as a whole, showing you how to customize successful systems to yo Then, we'll cover step-by-step instructions for organizing essential stations, which we'll strategically place around your home so you have what you need, when & where you need it.

Cheat Sheet for Organizing
Baby's Drawers and Closets ($37 VALUE)
If you've ever talked to a new mom, one things you've probably never heard her say is, "Dear God, I was starving." And yet, if you were to ask her, you'd find out . . . she was!
It turns out that feeding ourselves becomes crazy low on the priority list when baby is born. So to avoid busting the budget ordering Uber Eats or experiencing blood sugar crashes from starvation, we've created this incredibly helpful tool!
What You'll Get Inside:
Here's something you should know about me. When I was in grad school, I spent 6 years studying how totally impossible it can feel to be a mom. Not because the job is impossible, but because we put CRAZY expectations on parents with all these different schools of thought on how to do it best.
Then I became a mom, and I realized how practical that research had been. There's a HUGE gap in support for parents that wants to help them for their own sake, not just for the sake of their kids.
This is what I believe: If you care about being the best version of yourself and model that self love for your kids, they will be better for it. Period.
I'm not going to tell you to breastfeed or formula feed. To sleep train or not to sleep train. To stay home or go to work. And I'm sure as hell not going to tell you to do it all.
What I will tell you is that it's possible to be fulfilled in parenthood, and still be your own unique, vibrant self.
So this is me. I'm a babywearing, breastfeeding, sleep training, working mom who knows--doesn't think, but KNOWS--that you can rock this parenting thing even if you don't do any of it like I do. And I want to help you get there.
Can we be friends?
I want to tell you a story, friend. It isn't pretty, but it's real, and that's what we need more of, right?
For years, I wanted nothing more than to have a baby. When I took care of other people’s babies (and it felt like EVERYONE else was having them), people said I was a “natural.”
I setup my niece’s nursery, made up songs just for her, and cried the first time I successfully shushed a friend’s baby to sleep. I even gave a new mom friend a swaddling tutorial. I was as ready as anyone could be.
Until I wasn’t.
When I brought Jack home--a moment I hadn’t actually allowed myself to imagine--I suddenly felt like I had NO IDEA what I was doing. The anxiety and guilt came flooding in, and they pummeled me for the next 30 months.
I had spent years trying to get to this baby. I had grieved so many losses.
Why didn’t I enjoy it more? What was wrong with me? I had made it through recurrent miscarriage. I thought the hard part was behind me.
With the help of two therapists, an incredible support system, a lot of hard work, and some help from Zoloft, I managed to claw my way out of this guilt-ridden pile of anxiety.
And then, I did what I do best. I started digging for answers.
That’s when I realized.
No one can prepare you for the massive emotional shift of going from pregnant to parent.
But you can take tangible steps to prepare yourself, your home, and your relationships. And by doing that work before baby arrives, you can have systems in place to support you through early new motherhood.
In the 4 ½ years between Jack and Branham, I created these systems. When I was pregnant with Branham, I implemented them. And when she was born, I discovered first-hand the difference between surviving in new motherhood and thriving.
This is an experience I treasure. It’s what we all deserve, and I want to help you get there.
We understand that your time is precious, so we've built this course specifically to help you save time. Yes, that means saving time in the grand scheme because creating systems now saves time later, decreasing overwhelm and bringing the madness to a screeching halt.
But also, we understand that you're making time that's hard to come by to take this course, so we've made every effort to make it super easy for you!
We know you're busy, so we've made the modules of the course super easy for you to finish & implement! Each module is broken into shorter lessons to simplify your life!
You may not always be able to sit and watch each lesson, so we're making each available as a video you can watch AND as an audio download so you can listen from anywhere.
No need to take notes or worry that you're going to miss an important point when life happens! We're giving you carefully-crafted PDF guides to walk you step-by-step through each lesson.
Module 2 focuses entirely on creating a support system, discovering where you can offload tasks, and to whom. We encourage giving parts of our PDF guides to your support network and letting them do some of the work for you!
14-Day Guarantee!
I've been where you are, and I completely understand worrying that maybe this course won't work the baby-prep magic you hope it will.
You'll have access to one full course module (3 lessons) and corresponding supportive PDF guides before the cancellation date.
If, in that time, you do the work and discover that our systems won't work for you, send a refund request and copy of your completed work to support@undefiningmotherhood.com.
